Our cottages offer well- equipped kitchens, cozy living rooms, wood heated saunas and comfortable beds. After a relaxing sauna bath and a good night´s sleep in a comfortable bed it is a pleasure to steer the boat to the best fishing spots. Also the small log cabin Meri-Veikko has a good accommodation standard and is suitable for 1-2 fishermen.
The island of Pettu is surrounded by good fishing waters, and it is easy to reach them from Lönnviken. We rent two boats with outboard motors and two rowboats with small outboard motors to our cottage customers. When you book a cottage, rent a boat, too. After checking in, you are ready to go fishing.
The fishing area in Särkisalo is especially famous for its enormous pike individuals. The biggest pike ever caught in Finland by sport fishing equipment was 18,8 kg and was caught in these waters 1998. Not quite this big, but definitely big individuals (6-8 kg) are caught by our customers every year. You may bring your own boat and launch it from our boat ramp or rent one of our boats. We have a jetty, a gravel-covered boat ramp and two buoys for fastening the bigger boats.
When you go fishing, you have to pay the fisheries management fee. The fisheries management fee ( 16 €/week, 6 €/day) is required if you are 18- 64 years of age and will be fishing with a single rod. If you are fishing with more than one rod you will need a fishing permit from the owner of the water area in addition to the fisheries management fee. Proceeds from the fisheries management fee are used to manage fishing waters and fish stocks as well as monitor fishing activity. The fisheries management fee is based on the Fishing Act.

Lönnviken is located 100 km southeast of Turku, on the island of Petu, which is part of the Särkisalo archipelago, and can be reached by car. On the way to the cabin, there is a short, approx. 5-minute journey to the castle. The nearest body of water is the Archipelago Sea, approx. 50 m from the house.
