Villa Lönnviken is a traditional archipelago cottage on the island of Pettu in the enchanting Finnish southwestern archipelago. Our location is 1-2½ hours journey from the largest cities in Southern Finland and easily accessible by ferry (5 minutes). The villa is popular among families and sport fishermen.
The seashore villa dates back to 1939 and has 120 m2 in two floors. It was renovated 1989 and has had regular surface repairs since then. The villa has all the modern conveniences, yet the old structures and the old atmosphere have been preserved. The first floor has a farm kitchen, a sitting room, a bedroom (with door) for two, a toilet & shower. The second floor has a hall with four beds, and through the hall, a bedroom (with door) for two. If more privacy is wanted, there is a sleeping alcove for two in the sauna cottage. A heat pump is the main source of heating/cooling the villa. The cottage also has electric heaters in the rooms, a floor heating in the bathroom, and two wood burning fire-places. The cottage has a free a wi-fi. We have a gas grill and garden furniture in the garden, and fifty meters from the villa, a sea shore sauna. Dogs are allowed.
Fifty meters from the villa we have a sea shore sauna, exclusively available to the Villa Lönnviken guest and included in the rent for Villa Lönnviken. The traditional, wood-burning sauna was built 1950 and renovated 1991, with regular updates since then, the latest in 2022. We have tap water (cold) in the sauna. Hot water is made in a water heater attached to the wood burning stove. We have washing- up bowls in the sauna, no shower. There are also a sitting area and a sleeping alcove for two. The rooms are heated by a heat pump and a wood-burning fireplace.
The sunny shore is facing south-southwest, and is partly shallow and sandy, very child-friendly. To swim, you only need to take a few steps from the sauna terrace. We have rowboats (one per cottage for free use) and small outboard motors for rent. There is a jetty, a gravel-covered boat ramp and two buoys for the bigger boats.
